Update 12/14/10: Wow – has Bebe blossomed!  She has become the most adorable little boxer!

She initiates play with Scooby (which he loves), wiggles endlessly, and gives delicate boxer slurps.  She is beginning to vocalize – letting me know when she needs to ‘go’.  She’s also mischievous – this morning she was trying to pull the covers off my head with her paw – time to get up, she said!

Sometimes she carries items, usually throws from the sofa or a small rug, to the center of the living room, leaving them for me to arrive home. And don’t leave your shoes out – she doesn’t chew, she just ‘relocates’ them.

Update 10/14/10: Bebe passed her heartworm checkup and now weighs a healthy 58 pounds. She wiggles at the slightest encouragement and loves to play with Scooby. BeBe has learned to use the dog door; no more accidents in the house! She is shy when offered a treat...sniffing, then taking it gingerly from your fingers and taking it away to eat in solitude. She is learning to “sit”, but we still need a bit more training. BeBe rides in the car, however, you need to pick her up and place her in the car. Once in the car, she's fine.

BeBe is not vocal, and sudden noises startle her...even the toast popping. BeBe's foster mom thinks she needs to be with another dog - for both the companionship and learning experiences.

8/13/10: BeBe was pulled from a shelter and had several medical issues. Besides having heartworms, whipworms and hookworms, she also had lung flukes!! This poor girl was a mess. BeBe has been dewormed and spayed and now is doing well in her foster home. BeBe is a calm, quiet girl who just wants to snuggle with her foster mom. She is living with a male boxer/dane mix, who until just now, started to initiate some play with him, but not much.

She is content to hang out with Scooby, but would much rather put her head in her foster mom's lap and take a siesta.

BeBe is a good girl when left alone in the house, but is very shy when taken outside for walks. She would much rather be inside and would not be the girl for dog parks or long walks. BeBe has to start her heartworm treatment so won't be available until mid September.
