Update 3/22/10: Hi everyone! It's been a while, so let's catch up: I still have good days and bad days with my arthritis, but that's ok because I still have lots of fun!! My foster mom takes me everywhere because I'm a well-behaved, calm girl. She and her girlfriends still love playing cards and having lunch... and I'm always there for both. I also hang out with the gray Persian cat when we're visiting; I guess he's OK if you're into all that fluff!! I am still looking for my forever home, so if you want an easy-going girl like me, send in your application soon.
Update 12/25/09: Hi! My name is Kansas...on a rainy day, two weeks ago, I came to my new foster home. My foster mom gives me so much love and all I do is wag my tail....and I even smile at her, she thinks that is soooo special! Right now I cannot go on any long walks because I have arthritis in my back and my left leg, but I am taking lots of things to make me feel better. That's what happens to us when we get older, at least that's what my foster mom says! I am hoping to lose some weight once I can take long walks again because that would help me feel better too. At my new house there is a elderly Persian cat and we get along just fine; I want to play with him but he just doesn't feel like it, so I play with my toys and with
my foster mom.
My foster mom also takes me everywhere - even to her card parties, and some of her friends have come to our house to meet me. Even at my mom's yard sale, people stopped by just to come and pet me!!! I felt so very special. I am very happy here and getting stronger every day.
11/17/09: Kansas is a sweet older gal who is being returned to FBR because her family has come on hard times and their living situation has changed. Kansas gets along with just about every animal you can think of. She was living with Chihuahuas, birds, cats and large dogs. Kansas will be going to the vet and getting a physical and updated on everything.
Check back for my new "Portrait" and an update from my Foster Dad.
