BARF
is an acronym for Biologically Appropriate Raw Food. BARF also stands for Bones
And Raw Food. It is likewise referred to as a natural diet and species
appropriate diet. One of the most published supporters of the BARF diet is Dr.
Billinghurst. He gives four principles we know about dogs:
1. A dog’s diet should be based on raw meaty bones.
2. Most of a dog’s diet should be raw.
3.
Apart from raw meaty bones, a dog should be fed on as wide a variety
of foods as possible, and those foods should reflect the types and
quantities of foods wild dogs eat.
4.
Instead of attempting to feed a dog all the nutrients it needs at each
and every meal, the diet should be balanced over many different meals.
You
may be wondering…
Why
feed a raw diet? What have people reported from feeding a raw diet? Why is commercial dog food not good for my pet? Well then, why do so many people still feed their dogs commercial dog foods? But how will I know how much to feed my dog? But aren't chicken bones dangerous?!!!
What
if my dog tends to inhale food!???
But
what about bacteria on raw chicken?
But
my vet doesn't think that feeding raw is any good. What about grains?
If you asked yourself any of the above questions, go to this website to see answers from people who feed the BARF diet. http://www.bluegrace.com/barf.html

the most common questions, ones I had when I first started researching BARF.
I thought my dogs were in relatively great health until seeing them on
