Come meet some of our wonderful dogs waiting for their forever home.  Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions regarding the application and approval process, FBR’s rescue mission, and share valuable insight on this amazing breed!

Canine CPR & First Aid Class

If your pet suddenly became sick or injured, what would you do? This course is designed to help pet owners provide temporary, urgent care to pets until they can reach a veterinary or emergency clinic. This course will teach pet owners how to care for their animals before, during, and after an emergency.

Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Place: PetSmart, 4942 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL, 34231
Details: Class will be held in the upstairs room.
Cost: $60 per person

Barktoberfest is an annual rescue appreciation event to celebrate the partnership between Orange County Animal Services and their approximately 70 rescue partners.  Last year’s event drew approximately 8,000 people.  This year, FBR has been given two premier spaces right in the center of it all!

Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Place: Lake Eola Park, Corner of E. Washington St. & N. Rosalind Ave., Downtown Orlando
Details: Food trucks, pet microchipping, vendors, raffles & more.  (Event flyer will be posted when it is available.)
Cost: Free admission.

Pasco Pet Fest

Be sure to stop by FBR’s booth for some Boxer wiggles and kisses at the Pasco Pet Fest being held on the beautiful grounds of Florida Estates Winery.  Enjoy music, food, vendors and adoptable pets.  Wine tasting will be available by online reservation.

Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mark your calendars for our second Wine Down for Boxers.  The first event was so fun and successful, we are making it an annual fundraiser!

Time: 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Place: Landings Clubhouse, 5350 Landings Blvd, Sarasota
Details: Entry includes hors d’oeuvres and 5 raffle tickets.  Live music by Georgia & Mike.
Cost: $20 plus one bottle of wine per person. Limited tickets at the door.

San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival and Run
