Woofstock 2014 – Peace, Love, Drool

Saturday, November 1, 2014

Twenty local, all-volunteer rescue groups participating. Get your tie-dye and favorite bell bottoms out and come dance to the sounds of Glad All Over and The Lint Rollers. Veteran radio emcee Party Marti Ryan will be on-deck. This is a family and dog-friendly event and FBR will be right in the middle of it.  Come out and meet our volunteers and our Boxers!

Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Place: Carrollwood Park, 11430 Orange Grove Drive, Tampa
Agility courses for dogs, demonstrations, trainers, adoptable dogs (FBR does not do on-site adoptions).  Kids will have an opportunity to become a SuperHero to walk and help raise money for the rescue groups who will be at Woofstock. SuperHero Kid Walk for Rescue – click here for more information.

LovingCarePetFair20145th Annual Loving Care Pet Fair

The Loving Care Pet Fair involves the public in improving the lives of animals in our community. The Tampa Bay is very pet friendly with rescues, looking for animals in need, dedicating their lives to finding them, bringing them back to health, nurturing them and finding them homes with people who will love and care for them throughout their lives! These rescues need assistance from their community and this is the intent of the Loving Care Pet Fair! Adoption is the BEST option and our rescues need us! The fair is a fun environment, educating the public regarding the needs of animals in our community. Join us!

Time: 10 am to 4 pm
Place: Treasure Island Fun Center, 7770 Seminole Boulevard, Seminole
Great food, vendors, contests, live music, Red Carpet Walk with prizes, Mounted Patrol and horses, K-9 Police Dogs, raffle items and games.  Dog & kid friendly.
Cost: Admission is free.


Canine Christmas

Please join Florida Boxer Rescue at the 16th Annual Canine Christmas Festival.  This has been a very well attended event for several years and, of course, we will have a booth with lots of volunteers and Boxers!

Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Place: Bishop Animal Shelter SPCA Grounds, 5718 – 21st Avenue, W., Bradenton
Santa Photos, Silent Auction, 50/50 Cash Drawing, Food Truck Rally, Doggy Fun Zone, and Entertainment by Kim Betts & The Gamble Creek Band.  The Canine Fashion Show Registration is from 11:30 am to 1 pm and the cost is $5.00 per dog.  Attending dogs must be on a 6 foot leash, current tag, and well socialized.  Free parking – 21st Avenue entrance.
Cost: $3.00 per person, under 12 is free.


Anclote Animal Hospital 2nd Annual Adoption Event

FBR will be joining several other rescue groups at this adoption event hosted by this great animal hospital.  We will have an info booth and some of our foster Boxers (FBR does not do onsite adoptions.)

Time:  11 am to 3 pm
Place: Anclote Animal Hospital, 1840 Alt. 19S, Tarpon Springs
  Cold refreshments and limited pet merchandise.
Cost:  Admission is free.

Please join us for one of our largest fundraisers of the year.  We have a new venue this year and couldn’t be more excited, so grab your boots and hats and join us for a fun filled day at the Barn!

Time:  11 am to 4 pm
Place:  The Wishing Well Barn, 4302 Pippin Rd, Plant City (West side – accessible via I-4 or SR60)
Details:  Event will be held rain or shine, ample free parking on site, leashed dogs welcome (no retractable leashes).  Food, beer and wine from a variety of vendors.  Coffee bar featuring homemade bake sale items.   Plant sale, silent and live auctions.  Photos with Santa, facepainting, and a parade of foster pets.  Local veterinarian on hand for “Ask the Vet” and microchipping.
Cost:  Admission is free
