The best thing that ever happened in my life was when the nice lady from Florida Boxer Rescue came to get me!  She gave me lots of hugs and promised FBR would take care of me.  I'd never been in a car before and I was a little scared, but I trusted the Rescue lady when she told me everything would be ok.  At first I was shy and a little scared around new people but everyone has been so wonderful and given me so much love that I've really blossomed and now I'm all wiggles and kisses when I see my new friends.  I really am a gentle sweet soul...and did I mention that I now LOVE car rides??

Another nice Rescue lady took me to an Orthopedic Vet to see if my leg could be fixed.  The x-rays showed a fracture of the radiusulna near the wrist which healed at a 90 degree angle. Turns out my left leg is also shorter than my right, but I've compensated for this, so the leg probably won't need to be lengthened.  I'll need surgery to straighten my fractured leg and will probably have my wrist fused in the process.  If this can be done in one surgery the healing time will be 2-3 months, but if several surgeries are required healing would take 3-5 months.  That's a long time for a young pup like me but the nice Doc says I have a good chance of doing well, so FBR wants to give me that opportunity!
