The following is the official mission statement of Florida Boxer Rescue, Inc. The primary mission of FBR, Inc. is to identify and provide for those needy Boxers in the state of Florida, who have no other support, until they can be placed in responsible, loving homes.
FBR, Inc. will provide ongoing information and support to interested people, clubs, breeders, and fanciers to ensure the humane and timely rescue of a Boxer dog in need of assistance.
This is a volunteer effort created solely for the welfare and protection of the Boxer dog breed. Some of our volunteers are members of the American Boxer Rescue Association, a national group committed to helping Boxers in need.

Our secondary mission, as resources allow, is to assist responsible breeders in placing Boxers that have been returned to them, and to assist current Boxer owners, who for various reasons, choose to give up their Boxer dog.
To accomplish our mission, we utilize resources of devoted volunteers, the internet, Boxer clubs, private owners, breeders, and fanciers of the breed. Our goal is to educate the public, breeders, and fanciers about responsible dog ownership including spaying and neutering of pets, behavioral guidelines to ensure "problem" behaviors are dealt with BEFORE the dog is abandoned and to inform prospective Boxer owners, of the special qualities, characteristics, and requirements of our breed BEFORE they acquire a Boxer dog.
With proper education, we dream of a day we can eliminate the need for a Boxer Rescue effort.
